Below are the answers to some frequently asked questions.

Can I claim on my health fund?

If you have extras cover with your health fund you may be able to claim some money back from your treatment sessions. Michael originally trained and is still registered as a physiotherapist so you can claim a  rebate under physiotherapy services.

How long will my appointments take?

An initial appointment takes approx. 1 hours and 30 minutes. Follow up sessions last for 30 minutes.

Is there parking?

Bayside Headache Clinic  is located inside Primary Medical and Dental Centre at 1209 – 1215 Nepean Highway, Highett, 3190. You can park in the car park at the medical centre or on the street outside.

Will you crack my neck?

No I will not crack your neck. All treatment methods used are gentle and sustained. You will probably feel some pain during the treatment sessions, but if at any stage it is too much please just tell me and I will stop or reduce the pressure I am using.

Will I get a headache or migraine after the treatment?

In rare cases we can trigger a headache or migraine. As I stated this is rare and while we  regret it it does give us extra information into your condition and how it reacts to stressing of specific joints in your upper neck. If we can make your pain worse we can generally make it better using very gentle techniques around the area that triggered the migraine.

How is this different to what a physio, chiro or osteo does?

Michael is trained as a physiotherapist and the assessment and treatment techniques are very different to what he received in his training and while working as a physiotherapist or in any continuing education since.

Some chiropractors and osteopaths have also received this training and commented on how different this is to anything they have ever learnt in the past.
